VendorMatch Overview

What is VendorMatch?

VendorMatch is an essential research and due diligence resource for anyone involved in financial IT and Operations.

The VendorMatch platform helps buyers and their advisers find optimal partners and make better buying decisions, faster.

VendorMatch consists of two core modules - VendorMatch Discovery and RFX.

Q. So are you a procurement platform?

No, we are a research platform - you cannot buy any of the solutions through our platform. Procurement happens in the usual way. We supply the data and the tools you need to find and evaluate IT and service solutions.

Q. So what is the financial model...for example, can we only see vendors who pay to be on your platform?

We operate VendorMatch on a Freemium basis. Access to more granular data and our more powerful analytical features requires one of our VendorMatch subscriptions.

Vendors can list for free, and they to have the option to subscribe to some PRO services that are based around advanced profile features and analytics.

VendorMatch Discovery helps market practitioners from financial institutions scope the market for solutions and determine if a solution satisfies a set of requirement parameters; effectively creating a long-list of potential suppliers and solutions.

Using the information in profiles, Summary Reports and VendorMatch’s comparison analysis tools equip the buyer to undertake further due diligence on suppliers and their solutions and generate a short-list. The whole process can be tracked in our Project Manager tool.

What is RFX?

RFX is a library of pre-completed Requests for Information (RFIs). Vendors maintain a golden copy their own RFI responses and can choose to share it on a multilateral basis with other third parties.

The RFX surveys are authored by Celent analysts who are leading experts in a given solution type. The RFX surveys are substantial enough to meet the requirements of the most rigorous selection process and are based on Celent’s experience with system selection projects.

VendorMatch subscribers from financial institutions - or their advisers - can only request access to the RFX Reports, and it is up to the vendor to authorise this on a case-by-case basis using our controlled release process.

How does it work?

At the heart of the platform is a vast library of information covering supplier credentials, system functionality and capabilities data, providence and risk information, competitive positioning data, and marketplace trend and reference data.

This information is directly input and continuously updated by the vendors themselves ensuring you are making decisions based on the latest intelligence available. The data is supplemented by our research and overseen by our analyst team.

This vault of data is overlaid with a series of intuitive analytics tools to help you make sense of the material and give it a practical application. The beauty of VendorMatch is that it is accessible whenever you need it, wherever you are in the world.
