Wenli Yuan is a senior
analyst in Celent's Asia Research group and is based in Beijing. Ms.Yuan's
area of expertise lies in the financial services industry in China,
including insurance e-business, insurance distribution and service,
banking and securities.
She is the author of many
of Celent's reports on China insurance, banking and securities. Her
research covers China insurance PAS vendor evaluation, insurance
e-business, corporate banking, core banking system, ATM, and equities
market trends.
Ms. Yuan's comments on
China financial and technology topics have appeared in Wall Street and
Technology, The Banker, American Banker, China
Economic Review, gtnews, Business Line, CardLine
Global, and South China Morning Post. She is a frequent
presenter at industry events, including LOMA International Underwriting
Congress, Insurance Executives' Summit on Technology, and the Workshop on
Expanding Access to Insurance for the Poor.
Prior to joining Celent,
Ms. Yuan worked as a business analyst in the insurance department of Hisun
Tech and Global InfoTech successively. In these roles, she
analyzed information technology requirements in the China market and
researched insurance systems provided by international vendors. She was
also responsible for managing the firms' relations with international IT
vendors, including product delivery.
Previously, Ms. Yuan worked in the e-business department of Taikang Life
Insurance Company. She was responsible for planning and implementing agent
service and policy-owner service through the Web, as well as the design of
the online insurance purchase process. Prior to this position, Ms. Yuan
worked in Taikang Life's sales department, obtaining her FLMI
qualifications from LOMA during this period.
Ms. Yuan received her BS
from Peking University. She is fluent in Chinese and English.
