Jeff Goldberg is a senior analyst within
Celent's insurance practice and is based in the firm's New York office.
His research focuses on e-business, policy administration, SOA, technology
infrastructure, and the application of horizontal technologies to the
insurance sector.
His reports cover areas such as document
automation, industry trends in e-business, SOA, and the technology and
scalability behind policy administration systems. His recent consulting
work includes assisting in several vendor selection processes, helping
insurers structure their IT organizations, and applying Web 2.0
technologies to the insurance industry. He is a frequent presenter at
industry conferences and webinars including those sponsored by ACORD LOMA
and Insurance and Technology magazine, and has been quoted in Forbes.com, The
Chicago Tribune, Ottawa Business Journal, Reuters, AP, Insurance
Networking News, and Best's Review.
Prior to joining Celent, Mr. Goldberg was
the Vice President of Internet Technology for Marsh Inc. At Marsh,
he led the implementation and deployment of e-business solutions across
the company, including a benefits portal and multicarrier auto quoting,
which was awarded an A.M. Best e-Fusion award in 2003. He has also worked
with Harleysville Insurance as Director of Web Technology; with Trilogy,
where he consulted for many leading property/casualty and life/health
insurers in a variety of technology areas; and with Microsoft,
where he contributed to research on XML standards that were later adopted
by the W3C committee.
Mr. Goldberg has a BSE in computer science
from Princeton University and an MFA from the New School in
New York.
