Cubillas
Ding is a senior analyst in Celent’s securities and investments
practice and is based in the firm’s London office. Mr. Ding’s
expertise lies in global financial markets, securities IT strategy, and
enterprise risk management.
Mr. Ding’s research
focuses on market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and regulatory
compliance, as well as the latest regulatory developments such as Basel
II, Sarbanes-Oxley, Solvency 2, anti-money laundering / know your
customer (AML/KYC), and International Accounting Standards legislation
and their impact on financial institutions. His recent consulting work
involves advising clients on vendor solutions, compliance best
practices, and understanding regulatory impact to business models.
Mr.
Ding has been widely referenced in the press, including Wall Street & Technology,
Risk magazine, and Operational
Risk & Compliance.
Before
joining Celent, Mr. Ding was a senior analyst at Datamonitor. In this
role his research focused on IT strategies, key spending trends, and
operational issues facing the asset management, investment, and
securities services, corporate/commercial banking, and brokerage
sectors.
Prior
to this role he held positions at Euro
RSCG Circle as a business consultant, at Hewlett Packard European Labs & Direct Marketing Association as
a lead research analyst, and at Accenture’s
Financial Services Group
as a consultant/manager. His responsibilities have included
strategic business / marketing research, project management, and IT
strategy planning.
Mr.
Ding received a master’s degree in international business from the University
of Bristol and a B.Sc. in computer science from Monash University
in Australia.
