Walter
O’Haire is a senior analyst in Celent’s Banking group and is based in
the firm’s
San Francisco
office. His research will focus on: treasury management systems; document
management systems; IT and business process management, including
offshoring; mortgage lending technology; and B2B payment platforms.
Prior
to joining Celent in 200 7, Mr. O’Haire founded and ran a consulting firm
where he was retained by financial institutions and financial technology
companies as an advisor on strategic development initiatives and corporate
development projects. Previously, he was a Vice President at U.S.
Bancorp Piper Jaffray and lead West Coast banker in the
Financial Technology and Services Group, specializing in companies
providing technology solutions for service providers in the banking,
brokerage and payment sectors. During his time at Piper Jaffray, Mr. O’Haire was involved in transactions totaling $3.5 billion, including
mergers and acquisitions and capital raising.
Mr.
O’Haire
began his career as an attorney, specializing in intellectual property and
securities litigation. Mr. O’Haire advanced to corporate legal
representation and focused on private equity investments, mergers &
acquisitions and underwritings on behalf of both companies and investors.
He worked for Perkins Coie LLP
in both their
San Francisco
and
Menlo Park
offices.
O’Haire
began his career as an attorney, specializing in intellectual property and
