Muralidhar Dasar is an analyst in the Capital Markets practice within Celent, and he is based in Bangalore. His expertise lies in front office trading technology, high frequency trading, market infrastructure and regulation. Before joining Celent, Mr. Dasar interned with the Interest Rates Trading Desk at HSBC in Mumbai, where he developed a novel statistical model for analyzing the demand for Government of India bonds based on several macroeconomic parameters, in order to develop a medium-term interest rate view. Previously, he worked as a software developer with Intuit’s small business accounting division.
Mr. Dasar has been quoted regularly in the media including The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones News, Wall Street Letter, Hedge Funds Review, Banking Technology, FX Week, and Securities Technology Monitor.
Mr. Dasar received his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Kannada. He is passionate about technology, and in his free time he listens to classical flute and reads books, praxeology and philosophy being his favorite subjects.
