Benjamin Moreland
Benjamin Moreland is a Senior Analyst in Celent’s insurance practice and is based in the Boston, Massachusetts office. His research focuses on data mastery (BI/analytics), policy admin systems, outsourcing, business process management (BPM), portals, and SOA.
Prior to joining Celent, Mr. Moreland was Director of Enterprise Architecture in the P&C division of The Hartford, responsible for SOA strategy, direction, and implementation. He was also responsible for establishing reference architectures and best practices in BPM, rules, integration, portals, and data strategies across P&C business divisions. He led a group implementing middleware best practices and architecture across the enterprise. He has been a Senior Manager and Consultant for enhernet Corporation in eBusiness and Internet development efforts, as well as a project manager and research engineer/scientist for United Technologies, developing AI solutions for manufacturing issues. He has also been a lecturer at the University of Connecticut.
Ben has a. BA in mathematics from Stonehill College, Easton Massachusetts and an M.S. in computer science and engineering from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut. His certifications include AICPCU INS 21 (general insurance), INS 22 (personal insurance), INS 23 (commercial insurance), and an SOA certification from SwingTide Corporation.
