Previously, Dr. Katkov worked in the equity research department of Salomon Brothers Asia Limited. Dr. Katkov has lived for ten years in Tokyo and Taipei, where he engaged in research at the University of Tokyo and the National Central Library of Taiwan.
Dr. Katkov holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and MA and PhD degrees from Harvard University. He is fluent in English, Japanese, and Chinese.
